Erst k\u00fcrzlich hat Christina Pluhar mit ihrem Ensemble L\u2019Arpeggiata und in ziemlich prominenter Besetzung zahlreiche Rossi-Arien und -Duette ersteingespielt. W\u00e4hrend sie sich noch penibel in historischer Auff\u00fchrungspraxis versenkte, setzt die Op\u00e9ra de Dijon lieber auf absolute Modernisierung. Die Oper \u201eIl palazzo incantato\u201c, 1642 im Barberini-Auftrag und in au\u00dfergew\u00f6hnlich gro\u00dfer Besetzung komponiert, erh\u00e4lt nun die wohl gr\u00f6\u00dfte B\u00fchne derzeit: Die Plattform OperaVision streamt die publikumslose Auff\u00fchrung f\u00fcr zwei Monate. Die Partitur soll daf\u00fcr radikal reduziert worden sein (Leonardo Garc\u00eda Alarc\u00f3n), die Szene wiederum maximal erweitert (Fabrice Murgia), sei es durch moderne Charaktere, Kost\u00fcme, die aus den L\u00e4den von heute geklaubt sein k\u00f6nnten (Clara Peluffo Valentini), und nat\u00fcrlich: viel Hightech-Videoprojektion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Das Schloss des Magiers Atlante hat die Kraft, allen seinen Besuchern den Kopf zu verdrehen, und er nutzt das, um diese Menschen seiner Macht zu unterwerfen. So simpel, so gut. Aber die Handlung mit ihren 33 Charakteren, die wiederum Kost\u00fcme wechseln, dann aber doch zeitweise von den gleichen S\u00e4ngerinnen und S\u00e4ngern verk\u00f6rpert werden und in zahlreichen R\u00e4umen sowie Welten und szenischen Randepisoden auftreten, ist derartig schwer zu verstehen, dass die Rezensentin schlussendlich res\u00fcmiert: Es geht gar nicht um die Handlung. Es muss um die Emotionen gehen. Und die transportiert diese Inszenierung wiederum absolut nachvollziehbar. Unb\u00e4ndige Liebe, absoluter Wahnsinn, tiefste Verzweiflung und d\u00fcstere Depression werden von Videokameras eingefangen, die auf der unteren B\u00fchnenh\u00e4lfte herumgetragen werden und Close-ups auf die Leinwand dar\u00fcber \u00fcbertragen (was ziemlich genauso aussieht wie bei Tobias Kratzers \u201eTannh\u00e4user\u201c in Bayreuth). Das passiert hier mit derart kinematographischem und bild\u00e4sthetischem Bewusstsein, dass man zeitweise vergisst, eine Oper und nicht eine Serie zu streamen. So zumindest im ersten Akt. Sp\u00e4ter gibt es noch dunkelstes, Verlies-artiges und grellstes himmlisch-magisches B\u00fchnenbild (Vincent Lemaire). Dieses au\u00dfergew\u00f6hnlich intensive Regietheater ist schon sehr beeindruckend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aus den Stimmen des Ensembles erleben wir, wie unterschiedlich brennende Herzen klingen k\u00f6nnen. Auch wenn wirklich der Gro\u00dfteil der Besetzung mit der barocken Klangsprache umgeht, als h\u00e4tten sie nie etwas anderes gesungen (besonders eindrucksvoll Mariana Flores u.a. als Magique und Arianna Vendittelli, die ihre Koloraturen mal eben im Liegen meistert!), ist gerade die Addition von italienischem Pathos und moderner Exklamation bereichernd (sehr genossen bei Victor Sicard). Den ganzen Abend \u00fcberstrahlt allerdings Mark Milhofer mit seiner Interpretation des Atlante. Seine Partie ist schon kompositorisch herrlich, aber er gestaltet sie auch noch mit kilometerweitem tonalen wie emotionalen Ambitus und einer Stimme, die in keiner Lage ihre Reichhaltigkeit verliert. Man kommt wohl in Dijons \u201eVerzauberten Palast\u201c, weil die Inszenierung einem die Abbildung des wirklich echten Lebens verspricht.
