Opernsaison von Gran Canaria mit Eigenproduktionen von Verdis \u201eIl trovatore\u201c, Cileas \u201eAdriana Lecouvreur\u201c, Rossinis \u201eLa Cenerentola\u201c, Mascagnis \u201eCavalleria rusticana\u201c und Verdis \u201eMacbeth\u201c. In h\u00f6chster Disziplin stellt sich das Publikum mit seinen infektionsfrei elektronisch gekauften Karten in Reih\u2019 und Glied vor dem mond\u00e4nen Auditorio Alfredo Kraus am Strand von Las Palmas an und l\u00e4sst mit stoischer Ruhe die Temperatur-Messung \u00fcber sich ergehen. Vor dem Haus \u201ewacht\u201c eine Riesenstatue aus Bronze von Alfredo Kraus mit Blick aufs weite rauschende Meer \u00fcber das Geschehen. Obwohl es auf der Insel ein wundersch\u00f6nes Opernhaus gibt, das Teatro P\u00e9rez Gald\u00f3s, w\u00e4hlte man das Auditorio, um mehr Zuschauer in der Corona-Krise unterbringen zu k\u00f6nnen \u2013 insgesamt etwa 650. \u00c4hnlich wie im Teatro Real in Madrid hat man das Orchester auseinandergezogen, mit Nebenpodesten links und rechts f\u00fcr Harfe, Schlagwerk und einige andere Instrumente. Die Akustik im Saal war gleichwohl gut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Carlo Antonio de Lucia inszenierte diesen \u201eTrovatore\u201c in klassisch traditioneller \u00c4sthetik mit ebensolchen Kost\u00fcmen von Claudio Mart\u00edn. Carlos Santos schuf ein einfaches, den Gegebenheiten des Auditoriums entsprechendes statisches B\u00fchnenbild aus dreifach abfallenden Mauern zu beiden Seiten der Szene. Der eigentliche inszenatorische und damit gestalterische Effekt ergab sich durch das fantasievolle und stets zur jeweiligen Szene und Stimmung passende Videodesign von Graffmapping auf diesen Mauern und dem Szenenhintergrund, sowie aus der bestens abgestimmten Beleuchtung von Iban Negr\u00edn. Die stehenden Videos waren in der Tat oft sehr eindrucksvoll und wurden in zentralen Momenten auch bewegt, um die Intensit\u00e4t der Szene zu erh\u00f6hen \u2013 so bei den lodernden Flammen zu Manricos Stretta. Eine Personenregie gab es jedoch kaum, allenfalls eine stereotype. Die S\u00e4nger traten zu ihren jeweiligen Nummern noch nummernartiger auf und ab als sonst, und allzu oft kam es auch noch zu eigentlich unn\u00f6tigem Rampensingen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Arturo Chac\u00f3n-Cruz, weithin bekannter mexikanischer Tenor, sang den Troubadour zun\u00e4chst noch mit leichten Aufw\u00e4rmschwierigkeiten, lief im weiteren Verlauf aber sowohl stimmlich wie darstellerisch zu starker und souver\u00e4ner Form bei hoher Musikalit\u00e4t auf. So forderte das generell sehr beurteilungssichere Publikum eine Wiederholung der Stretta \u2013 er sang sie mit starkem und lang angehaltenem C \u2013 und bekam sie auch! Seit ihrem Auftritt als Odabella in \u201eAttila\u201c bei der Saisoner\u00f6ffnung der Mail\u00e4nder Scala 2018 ist Saioa Hern\u00e1ndez kein unbeschriebenes Blatt mehr. Mit einem leuchtenden, kraftvoll vorgetragenen Sopran meisterte sie fast alle Klippen der Leonora, abgesehen von einem Spitzenton in der ersten Arie \u201eTacea la notte placida\u201c. Am sch\u00f6nsten und emotionalsten gelang ihr die Arie \u201eD\u2019amor sull\u2019ali rosee\u201c zu Beginn des vierten Akts. Der italienische Bariton Massimo Cavalletti sang den Grafen Luna mit warm timbriertem Ausdruck und guter szenischer Pr\u00e4senz. Erstklassig war aber die stimmliche Leistung der Mezzosopranistin Nancy Fabiola Herrera, die alle nur denkbaren vokalen und darstellerischen Dimensionen der Azucena eindrucksvoll ausleuchtete. Eine Weltklasse-Leistung, die auch mit dem gr\u00f6\u00dften Applaus bedacht wurde. Die weiteren Rollen waren ebenso gut besetzt, wie der von Olga Santana einstudierte Chor sang.
