Es geht von ihr eine v\u00f6llig neue, Opernb\u00fchne und Filmstudio verschmelzende \u00c4sthetik aus. Zwar wurde das Amalgam aus Purcells Oper und den Erg\u00e4nzungen des finnischen Jazzkomponisten Kalle Kalima im Jahr 2019 bereits in Lyon und bei der Ruhrtriennale gezeigt. Doch erst Regisseur David Martons Entschluss, sich den Herausforderungen durch die Pandemie offensiv zu stellen, bereitete den Boden f\u00fcr das richtungweisende Ergebnis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Der Reihe nach: Chefgott Jupiter und Gemahlin Juno bet\u00e4tigen sich in einem Ruinenfeld als sorgsame Arch\u00e4ologen, wobei sie kommunikations- und informationstechnische Artefakte aus der Zukunft wie Mobiltelefon, Computermaus und Kabelsalat zutage f\u00f6rdern. Relikte, die jene immer virulente Geschichte der K\u00f6nigin von Karthago mit dem trojanischen Fl\u00fcchtling aufrufen. Final sollen die Bodenfunde verscharrt werden, doch bleibt die Story zu pr\u00e4sent, um neuerlich unter die Erde zu geraten. F\u00fcr all dies m\u00fcnzt David Marton die Zw\u00e4nge der Covid-19-Lage zur Tugend um. Die Theatralit\u00e4t des Werks bleibt erhalten, genuin cineastische Elemente kommen durch Nahaufnahmen sowie mehr oder minder steile Draufsichten bis zur Vogelperspektive hinzu. Auch hat Marton mit den S\u00e4ngern eine f\u00fcr Close-ups taugliche Mimik erarbeitet. Christian Friedl\u00e4nders Szenografie changiert bruchlos zwischen Filmsequenzen, wie der in einem fahrenden Auto, und B\u00fchnenbildhaftem, so bei manchem Horizont und einem demonstrativ k\u00fcnstlichen Baum. Pola Kardum kleidet die Personage im Fall von G\u00f6ttern und Aeneas antikisierend, Dido und Belinda kommen heutig daher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trotz Crossover zwischen Alter Musik und Jazz ist die Produktion musikalisch aus einem Guss. Das B\u2019Rock Orchestra bew\u00e4hrt sich gleicherma\u00dfen auf der Barockschiene und beim Jazz. Am Pult sorgt Bart Naessens f\u00fcr flie\u00dfende \u00dcberg\u00e4nge vom Einst zur Gegenwart. Alix Le Saux ist eine ebenso anmutige wie r\u00fchrende Dido. Guillaume Andrieux gibt einen rollenbedingt etwas eindimensionalen Aeneas. Claron McFadden versieht Belinda mit vokal reich facettierten Farben. Umwerfend pr\u00e4sent bietet Erika Stucky ihre Jazzr\u00f6hre f\u00fcr die Zauberin und Zwischenspiele auf. Schauspielerin Marie Goyette stattet Juno mit performancehafter Groteske und Bizarrerie aus.
