Der auf des Messers Schneide balancierende Dramentext Yukio Mishimas und das von Hosokawa ins Japanische \u00fcbersetzte Musikidiom der europ\u00e4ischen Nachkriegsavantgarde bieten treffliche Voraussetzungen. Isabel Ostermanns Regie l\u00e4sst offen, was im Dreipersonen-Einakter Realit\u00e4t, was Projektion, Traum oder gar Wahn ist. Gut m\u00f6glich, dass sie unmerklich ineinander \u00fcbergehen oder gar erhebliche Schnittmengen bilden. Die seit geraumer Zeit des Geliebten harrende Hanako jedenfalls erkl\u00e4rt auf all diesen Ebenen das Warten zum Seinszustand. Der sie darin best\u00e4rkenden Malerin Honda gelingt daher, die junge Frau in Abh\u00e4ngigkeit von sich zu halten. Selbst das Auftauchen des lang ersehnten Liebhabers \u00e4ndert nichts daran. Ausstatter Stephan von Wedel siedelt das Geschehen in einem Mietshaus an, dessen Querschnitt in der Totale erst einmal wenig Filmisches, sondern ein portalf\u00fcllendes B\u00fchnenbild pr\u00e4sentiert. Geht es dann aber in Malerin Hondas stylisches Appartement, von dem eine Wendeltreppe in Hanakos Kombination aus Kerker und Jungm\u00e4dchenzimmer hinabf\u00fchrt, r\u00fcckt Ismail Khudidas Kamera den Figuren beklemmend nahe auf den Leib und zu Gesicht. Kontrastiv dazu blickt Khudida den Figuren immer wieder \u00fcber die Schulter und zeigt die Gesichter geradezu symbolisch im verlorenen Profil. Ebenso augen- wie ohrenf\u00e4llig tritt die st\u00fcckimmanente Verschiebung von Wirklichkeit und Wahrnehmung zutage, wenn Bild und Ton auseinanderdriften, indem Lippenbewegungen und Gesang die Synchronit\u00e4t entzogen wird.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Auch musikalisch \u00fcberzeugt die Produktion. Bezwingend arbeitet Alexis Agrafiotis mit dem Staatsorchester Braunschweig die filmmusikalischen Qualit\u00e4ten der Partitur so heraus, dass das Blut in den Adern zu gefrieren droht. Darstellerisch und vokal erf\u00fcllt Jelena Bankovi\u0107 die Seele der Titelfigur randvoll mit zuweilen kantabel \u00fcberbordendem Warten. Milda Tubelyt\u0117 verleiht der im Inneren brodelnden Honda \u00e4u\u00dfere Fassung und K\u00fchle samt scharsinnig-intellektuellem Raffinement. Auf sanglich eleganter Linie bewegt Maximilian Krummen den chancenlosen Liebhaber Yoshio. So sehr f\u00fcr die Zukunft auf Produktionen vor dann wieder physisch anwesendem Publikum zu hoffen ist: Das Staatstheater Braunschweig hat mit \u201eHanjo\u201c einen Weg der Synthese von Musiktheater und Film gefunden.
