Die Aktualit\u00e4t, die Heutigkeit ist erschreckend. Es ist ein Abend des Innehaltens, ein politischer Abend fernab jeder Ideologie, ein Abend der Beklemmung, ein Schrei nach Humanismus, ein festspielw\u00fcrdiger Abend. Die Felsenreitschule ist ein geradezu idealer Ort f\u00fcr die Musik. Nono wollte einen ungew\u00f6hnlichen Raum und hat ihn hier gefunden \u2013 es entsteht ein Kosmos zwischen Fortissimo und Pianissimo, allen Ausdrucksformen der menschlichen Stimme. Mit Ingo Metzmacher ist ein genialer Interpret von Nonos Musik am Werk, er f\u00fchrt Orchester, Chor und Solisten scheinbar m\u00fchelos durch die Schwierigkeiten der Partitur und l\u00e4sst unglaubliche musikalische Momente entstehen. Das Orchester ist im ganzen Raum platziert, rechts auf der Galerie sind Vibraphon, Harfe, Pauke und Celesta, links 12 Schlagwerke, Becken und Milit\u00e4rtrommel. Die Wiener Philharmoniker folgen ihm mit h\u00f6rbarer Freude und unglaublicher Pr\u00e4zision, ohne dass die Unmittelbarkeit verloren geht. Die eigentliche Hauptrolle hat der Chor, hier die Konzertvereinigung Wiener Staatsopernchor in der Einstudierung von Huw Rhys James. Sie ist in H\u00f6chstform, w\u00e4hrend der gesamten Azione scenica auf der B\u00fchne, in st\u00e4ndiger choreografierter Bewegung.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tenor Sean Panikkar singt den Emigranten fulminant und bew\u00e4ltigt den musikalisch schwierigsten Part mit unz\u00e4hligen hohen C\u2019s geradezu bravour\u00f6s. Er ist der Auswanderer, der sich nach seiner Heimat zur\u00fccksehnt und letztlich wie alle anderen im rei\u00dfenden Strom untergehen wird. Die Frau, die mit ihm in der Emigration lebte und ihn zum Bleiben beschw\u00f6rt (solide gesungen von Anna Maria Chiuri), wendet sich voller Hass gegen ihn. Auf seinem Weg in die Heimat ger\u00e4t der Emigrant in eine Demonstration und wird, obwohl v\u00f6llig unbeteiligt, festgenommen und als einer von vielen gefoltert. Die fast 20-min\u00fctige Folterszene wird vom Chor, Performern und der Compagnie des Bhodi Projects und der Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance (SEAD) realistisch dargestellt. Bassbariton Musa Ngqungwana gestaltet mit gro\u00dfer Wortdeutlichkeit einen Gefolterten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die Gefolterten wenden sich ans Publikum mit der Frage: \u201eUnd ihr? Seid ihr taub? \u2026 R\u00fcttelt Euch die Klage unserer Br\u00fcder nicht auf?\u201c Schwer, sich hier nicht pers\u00f6nlich betroffen zu f\u00fchlen. Mit dem Algerier, gesungen von Antonio Yang, gelingt dem Emigranten die Flucht aus dem Lager, die Freiheit wird zum wichtigeren Ziel als die Heimat. Die Gef\u00e4hrtin, perfekt gesungen und dargestellt unter totalem K\u00f6rpereinsatz von Sarah Maria Sun, beschw\u00f6rt die Abkehr von Krieg und gibt Hoffnung. Regisseur Jan Lauwers f\u00fcllt die B\u00fchne mit permanenter Bewegung, geht mit den Folterszenen an die Grenzen. Er f\u00fchrt die Figur des blinden Poeten, gesprochen von Victor Lauwers, ein und verfasst ihm auch einen Text, der von allen verlacht wird. Letztlich verschlingt der Strom alle und alles.
