In der Oper \u201eLeonore 40\/45\u201c hei\u00dft er Monsieur Emile und nur ihm ist das Happy End zwischen der Franz\u00f6sin Yvette und dem Deutschen Albert zu verdanken. Denn die beiden, die sich 1941 bei einem Konzert mit Neuer Musik in Paris n\u00e4herkommen, d\u00fcrfen w\u00e4hrend der deutschen Besatzung eigentlich keine Beziehung haben. Doch Yvette \u2013 eine Nachfolgerin von Beethovens \u201eFidelio\u201c \u2013 k\u00e4mpft allen politischen Widrigkeiten zum Trotz f\u00fcr ihre Liebe. Nur gegen das Tribunal, das die Hochzeit der beiden 1945 verhindern will, kommt sie nicht an. Was besagten Engel auf den Plan ruft, der die Inhumanit\u00e4t verdammt und zur Vers\u00f6hnung aufruft. Denn: \u201eAlles wendet sich zum Guten in der besten aller Welten.\u201c<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Als Opera semiseria bezeichneten Komponist Rolf Liebermann und Librettist Heinrich Strobel, beide Pioniere im Einsatz f\u00fcr moderne Musik, ihr 1952 in Basel uraufgef\u00fchrtes, im Kern biografisches Werk, dessen ernstes Thema mit heiteren Einsch\u00fcben aufgelockert wird. Auch Liebermann spielt in seiner Partitur l\u00e4ssig mit avantgardistischen Str\u00f6mungen und baut dabei passend zum Geschehen Zitate quer durch die Musikgeschichte ein, etwa das \u201eFidelio\u201c-Quartett oder ein Schnipsel aus Leoncavallos \u201ePagliacci\u201c-Prolog.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dieser Vielschichtigkeit wird J\u00fcrgen R. Weber in seiner Bonner Inszenierung in hohem Ma\u00dfe gerecht. Er l\u00e4sst die Handlung realistisch in einem historisierten Ambiente \u2013 phantasievoll entworfen von Hank Irwin Kittel \u2013 ablaufen und stellt ihr als Kontrast eine Zirkuswelt gegen\u00fcber, bestehend aus einem Panoptikum von schr\u00e4gen Artisten. Wie er das Kriegsgrauen mit schwarzem Humor verkn\u00fcpft, ohne es zu bagatellisieren, ist meisterlich: Die franz\u00f6sische Nationalfigur \u201eMarianne\u201c k\u00e4mpft gegen Soldaten mit Beethoven-Masken und Hakenkreuz-Armbinden, ein Verweis auf die Vereinnahmung des Komponisten durch die Nationalsozialisten; die Antipoden Hitler und Churchill erscheinen als \u00fcbergro\u00dfe Schie\u00dfbudenfiguren; ein Totenkopf mit Clownsnase guckt in den Zuschauerraum. Beherrschend aber ist ein vom Schn\u00fcrboden h\u00e4ngender riesiger Gem\u00e4lderahmen, auf dessen Leinwand knallbunte Trickfilme projiziert werden. Der erste hei\u00dft \u201eCircus Hitler \u2013 Welttournee\u201c, der letzte mit der Jahreszahl 1945 \u201eCircus Hitler ist unbekannt verzogen\u201c. Eingeblendet wird auch mitunter das Orchester, das wie der Chor unsichtbar hinter der B\u00fchne platziert ist. Der Klang leidet nicht darunter, denn Dirigent Daniel Johannes Mayr sorgt f\u00fcr kristalline Durchsicht und klare Strukturen. Barbara Senator singt mit lichtem, klarem Sopran eine ganz fabelhafte Yvette. Einen sympathischen Albert verk\u00f6rpert der junge Santiago S\u00e1nchez, nur erklimmt der Tenor die H\u00f6he noch nicht ganz m\u00fchelos. Rollendeckend ist die \u00e4ltere Generation mit Susanne Blattert und Pavel Kudinov besetzt. Eine tolle Figur macht Joachim Goltz: Als schwarzgewandeter Engel verbindet er vokale Pr\u00e4gnanz mit Entertainer-Qualit\u00e4ten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die Auff\u00fchrungen, die im Nachkriegsdeutschland bis 1959 stattfanden, stie\u00dfen aufgrund der Thematik auf Ablehnung beim Publikum. Jetzt aber ist die Zeit reif f\u00fcr \u201eLeonore 40\/45\u201c. In Bonn wird sie st\u00fcrmisch gefeiert. Auch wegen des ungew\u00f6hnlich informativen Programmhefts bleibt sie nachhaltig in Erinnerung.
