Den \u201egro\u00dfen Brocken\u201c gibt es trotzdem \u2013 direkt von der B\u00fchne, mit fulminanter Wucht und beklemmender Intensit\u00e4t, musikalisch auf h\u00f6chstem Niveau. Dmitri Schostakowitschs Oper \u201eDie Nase\u201c \u2013 das Werk eines 22-J\u00e4hrigen \u2013 wurde bereits kurz nach der Urauff\u00fchrung 1930 in Leningrad Opfer politischen Drucks. Dass f\u00fcr die Erstauff\u00fchrung an der Bayerischen Staatsoper \u2013 in Koproduktion mit der Novaya Opera Moskau \u2013 Regisseur Kirill Serebrennikov aus dem politischen Hausarrest per Videoschalte agiert, verleiht dieser Inszenierung ganz besondere Brisanz. Die absurde Novelle Nikolai Gogols (1836) erz\u00e4hlt von einer Welt, in der Realit\u00e4t und Fiktion in Traumlogik koexistieren. Serebrennikovs beklemmende Szenerie des kalten Petersburger Winters, immer h\u00f6her werdender Schneeberge, von R\u00e4umfahrzeugen mit grellen Scheinwerfern, Schlagst\u00f6cken und Absperrgittern zeigt deutliche Bez\u00fcge zu Putins Russland \u2013 grellbunte Neon-Folklore auf grau-trister B\u00fchne inklusive. Einer, der es wissen muss, setzt auf d\u00fcstere Bilder und macht die Nase zum sozialen Status: Je mehr Nasen eine Person im Gesicht tr\u00e4gt, desto angesehener ist sie. Die per se dadaistischen Absurdit\u00e4ten der Oper in Form, Sprache und Intention sowie eine Umkehr der Wirkungsweisen von Text und Musik macht sich Serebrennikovs Regie zu eigen. Er teilt die Welt in T\u00e4ter und Opfer und zeichnet das groteske Bild einer spie\u00dfigen und korrupten Gesellschaft in Polizeiuniform, in der sich der kleine Beamte Platon Kusmi\u010d Kovaljov nicht mehr zurechtfindet, weil ihm seine Nase abhandenkam und nun als Staatsrat ein Eigenleben f\u00fchrt. Die Angst vor dem Anderssein, die Angst vor Strafe und die Vermischung von Absurdit\u00e4t und Realismus bis hin zum grenzenlosen Denken sind die geistigen Pfeiler der Inszenierung. Wenn am Ende die Nase zwar zur\u00fcckkehrt ins Gesicht des Besitzers, dieser sich trotzdem in trostloser Plattenbau-Umgebung dem Alkohol hingibt und selbst das letzte Zeichen der Hoffnung \u2013 ein roter Luftballon in der Hand eines Kindes \u2013 mit lautem Knall zerplatzt, ist das vielleicht auch ein Statement des inhaftierten Regisseurs zur Zukunft Russlands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dem Bayerischen Staatsorchester in quasi Kammermusikbesetzung steht ein monumentaler Gesangs-Solistenapparat von 58 Rollen gegen\u00fcber. Generalmusikdirektor Vladimir Jurowski \u2013 mit dem Repertoire bestens vertraut \u2013 erweckt Schostakowitschs Komposition in allen Facetten zum Leben. Die Zwanglosigkeit im Umgang mit Logik, aber auch eine gewisse Trostlosigkeit wird in der Musik sp\u00fcrbar. Grandios besetzt: die vielen Solistenpartien, allen voran Boris Pinkhasovich als Kovaljov und Doris Soffel als alte Dame. Serge Dorny h\u00e4tte einen entspannteren Einstieg in seine Intendanz w\u00e4hlen k\u00f6nnen \u2013 aber im Jahr 2021 kaum einen passenderen. M\u00fcnchen setzt also auf Musik-Theater.
